How is pricing set?
Local NYC is $150/hr (events 2-hr min; private 1-hr min).
Out-of-town offers Half-Day $600 (≤4 on-site hrs) or Full Day $1,050 (≤8 on-site hrs), plus travel costs. Over 8 on-site hrs is $150/hr.
What counts as out-of-town?
Anything outside the five NYC boroughs, over 25 miles, or over ~90 minutes each way.
How are travel costs handled?
You can book and pay transport/lodging directly, or I can book and invoice actual costs (cost + 10% admin).
Do you bill for travel time?
Yes—first 2 hrs each way included, then $50/hr (capped at 6 hrs/day). This protects long travel days while keeping nearby gigs fair.
Overnights?
If same-day return isn’t reasonable: lodging + $100/day per diem.
Deposits & payments?
50% deposit to reserve (non-refundable; transferable once with 48h notice). Out-of-town also requires prepaid travel. Balance due at the appointment.
Designs are best when applied at least 2 days in advance so the stain can have time to develop and be at its best potential by the time of your event.

Applying henna or jagua can take from 30 minutes up to 4 hours to apply depending on the design and placement. However, after-care can take a few days .

For some cultures henna art may have a significant meaning and for others it may just be a beauty enhancement, do your research before just wearing anything you see. While no one can tell you what you can or cannot wear, having respect for ones culture and symbols used is decent courtesy. It is also important to acknowledge the ancient history of henna art , as you would for all arts.
